2024 Quesnel Youth Soccer Association – Annual General Meeting
Dear Parents, Quesnel Youth Soccer Association will hold its Annual General Meeting on Thursday Feb 15 at 6:30pm at the indoor soccer facility boardroom, 980 Anderson Drive in Quesnel.
All members are invited and encouraged to attend! - Who is a member? You are. (Members include any person who in 2023 appeared on a QYSA registration form as a parent or legal guardian of a player under the age of 18, duly elected members of the Board and officials or coaches over the age of 18).
This meeting is an excellent opportunity to learn more about your organization and to have input into QYSA's direction through the election of the Board of Directors. The primary purpose of QYSA is to encourage, facilitate and promote youth soccer in the Quesnel area. As a part of our leasehold agreement with the City of Quesnel, QYSA is also responsible for the management and administration of the indoor sports facility and outdoor sports fields on Anderson Drive and for providing access to a wide range of community user groups.
There are 11 elected positions to the Board of Directors including President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary and 7 Directors.
Any member who would like to consider running or a position, is strongly encouraged to do so! The positions open are Directors at large.
The main criteria is to have a passion for youth soccer and to be able to work as a part of a team. If you are considering running but are unsure about what is involved, someone from the current board or the Nominations Committee would be happy to answer any questions that you may have. Just speak with member services or email us at qysams@gmail.com.
● All nominations must be submitted by 4:00pm Feb 8, 2024.
Please attend!... One of our major sources of income; the BC Gaming Grant - has expressed concern over the number of members attending our AGM in the last several years.
Your attendance and participation at the Annual General Meeting are important to ensure a well-informed and engaged membership and in providing all members with a say in the future direction of their association!
